    PTFE surface modification method, high temperature melting modification

      High temperature melt modification method is to some strong surface activity, easy to glue and smaller particle size fillers (e.g., silicon dioxide, aluminum powder, etc.) under the condition of high temperature sintering to PTFE surface, in order to change the structure and properties of PTFE surface, achieve the goal of improving bonding strength.

      The advantage of this method is:

      (1) weather resistance, good resistance to hot and humid;

      (2) suitable for outdoor use for a long time.

      A shortcoming of this method in:

      (1) poor dimensional stability at high temperature PTFE, not easy to keep in shape;

      (2) packing with PTFE matrix between the binding force is small, the high bonding strength. Jin-yan guo, silane coupling agent on the melting method is improved.

      Before and after treatment were the research results show that the bonding strength of PTFE increased from 7.8 MPa to 9.5 MPa; Obtained with this method the glue joint, the wet and heat resistance is superior to sodium naphthalene processing method. Zhao-xia fu, etc on the basis of high temperature melting method, joined the inorganic additives in PTFE LW, thus effectively improved the bonding performance of PTFE sheet.
